Effective June 29, 2026
Terms of Service
RoomLedger lets property operators record rent and lets authorized residents view their balance and submit payments through Stripe. The property operator — not RoomLedger — sets the amount, identifies the room, manages the tenancy, and is responsible for the accuracy and legality of each charge.
Accounts
Use accurate information, protect your login link, and tell your operator if a room or balance looks wrong. You may not access another person’s room, payment history, or operator account.
Payments
Payment processing is provided by Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s terms. A browser confirmation page is not proof that funds settled; the payment status shown in the portal after Stripe reconciliation controls.
Operator responsibilities
Operators must have authority to collect each charge, maintain correct tenant and room information, provide legally required notices, handle refunds and disputes, and comply with housing, consumer, privacy, tax, and payment laws — including any rules on passing card processing fees to residents.
Availability and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, indirect, consequential, and lost-profit damages are excluded. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated with a new effective date. Questions should be sent to the support contact provided by your property operator.
